It's okay for a first apartment.submitted by Brandon W. - |Recommended: NoOverall the apartment complex is nice. It's well kept and welcoming and the residents here are rather kind and social for the most part. As for the apartment that I am in, I feel I got the short end of the stick. I had put a deposit on an apartment that I found suitable for my needs based off of what I was shown with the furnished model apartment. I was excited to be moving into my first apartment. When my move in date was merely two days away, I was called and told that we had to wait a little longer because there were some ongoing issues with the previous tenant. So I waited, and was told to set up my TEP account in the meantime. TEP had needed a bit of information from me to verify that I was not the previous tenant and so on. So now we get to my rescheduled move in date, I was called again asking to prolong my move in because power was still off and they weren't going to let the maintenance crew work in the heat, which I found to be a good reason to reschedule my move in yet again. Moving forward one more week, I am finally able to move in. I get to the office and start signing my lease and about half way through, I am informed that the previous tenant was evicted and that they trashed the place. The office had told me in person as I am signing my lease that my apartment, the one that I have been waiting to move into for a month, has been trashed. And there is nothing I can do about it at this point, I have already signed half of my lease. So trying to make the best of it, I choke down my frustration and walk over to my apartment. The apartment was better than what I was expecting considering the fact I was just notified not ten minutes prior that it had been trashed. There was a musty odor and countless holes in just about every wall that had been patched but rather poorly covered to match the wall itself. Most appliances seemed to be replaced and the carpets were cleaned. There were some cabinets that were hanging off their hinges and the garbage disposal was making some strange noises. The ceiling fan had and still has a fixture that seems to be hanging on by a thread and constantly squeaks whenever the fan is on. Lastly, the A C unit sounds like a lawnmower. When I first got into the apartment I had kind of ignored the sound of the unit kicking on and shutting off but this thing is hard to ignore when its 2 30AM. It was not bad at first but I had made a repair order to get it fixed along with the other issues around the apartment. The maintenance crew showed up and fixed everything except the ceiling fan and the A C. They told me they would have to come back to fix it. I rescheduled that to the following week so I could be there and watch them fix my apartment. There was apparently some miscommunication and the maintenance worker did not show up at the scheduled time in the morning, rather an hour before the office closed for the day. And despite the efforts of fixing the unit, the problem was made worse. The only thing that was done was putting some thin wooden shims in between the unit and its housing to hopefully eliminate some of the vibrating. So now I have an A C unit where the fan blades scrape against the housing and sounds like a lawnmower starting up every single time the unit turns on and off. I complain about it again and say it's gotten worse and so the crew comes back when I am not in my apartment because at this point I just want it to be fixed whether I am there or not. So I come home, the A C is still just as loud as it was before and the only difference is, now there is duct tape on my ceiling because apparently the hatch where you can access the unit does not fit properly and is at risk of falling from the ceiling. At this point I am furious. I still go about the issue in a civil way but nothing is getting fixed and I have been here for a month. I just want my A C fixed...

Lovely place to live.submitted by Hanna D. - |Recommended: YesThe staff has been wonderful with us and made it a good place to live. There is a dog park, a pool, and it is walking distance from restaurants and stores. That is something my husband and I take advantage of and appreciate very much. We've had a few issues with the leaks and bugs but maintenance usually takes care of it right away. Things still go wrong, like with any apartment but so far we've been met with ready to help attitudes from everyone that works here. It would be better if there was a gym, but that is literally my only big complaint.

Worst place I have ever lived.submitted by Ruben O. - |Recommended: NoI would tell them that my apartment was infested with roaches when I moved in, as well as smells bad when I come home from work. The machine that reads your card to start the washer's and dryers is broken half of the time. My neighbor's car got broken into and had a gun stolen from it. The outside trash bin over flow's and I end up walking through garbage on my way to my car. I have had to put in more work orders in the past 3 month's, than I have ever had to before. The parking situation is terrible. The spots are so tiny that I can barely fit my four door car into the parking space that I-HAD-TO-PAY-FOR The ridiculously tiny space that the cinder blocks provide is so small that I ended up damaging my car against them and had to pay over 1200 to get the damage repaired. Then after I repaired those damage's, I now scraped my rim and took a chunk out of my tire due to the tiny, hard to maneuver, entrance that leads in from Kolb into my section of apartments. Maneuvering this complex will in my car have cost me over 1500, if not more, by the time I leave this place. The laundry facility is disgusting and terribly kept. There is graffiti, and trash is littered throughout half the time. The washer's and dryers are normally dirty. I literally found dirt in one of the washer's. Those also smell bad. It make's me sad to know that I have basically no reasonable choice, but to wash my clothes in that facility. The kitchen is so small that I can barely fit all of my appliance's, and still have room to cook. Also, no dishwasher I feel grossed out by this place. the worst part is, this place costs the same as some of the well kept complexes in town. I visited a friend, and was shocked that they were paying the same as me, in a way nicer place to live. His place wasn't infested with bug's either. Bottom line, I feel uncomfortable to live here. I feel disappointed in myself that I made the choice to live here. I make enough money to live somewhere nice. I was saving up to move out, but then I had to pay to repair my car. Living here has brought my spirit down a level. The staff has been friendly and professional. They are very helpful and kind. The customer service has been great.
